Click-On Logistics have been long-term advisors with this Client.  The in-house business reputation needed a boost and in the absence of an outsourcing solution, an internal review was undertaken.
 
A strategy was developed demonstrating that it would achieve a return on investment within 3 years.  A major change programme was then developed that incorporated multi-functional change and increased volume throughput with additional customers.  Click-On Logistics were either directly involved in, or provided project management support to the following major change areas:
 
  • Implementation of a voice picking system resulting in the elimination of paper in day-to-day operations.
  • Pick accuracy performance enhancements resulting in an achievement of 99.7% delivered accuracy
  • New activity profile of overnight deliveries - volume throughput increased by 45%
  • Working with the HR department on a training needs analysis and an assessment of jobs in the 'new world'.
  • Use of a strategic modelling tool to assess the impact of future business plans on the physical logistics infrastructure
  • Strategic assessment of the end-to-end supply chain activity and it's suitability for each individual brand
  • Assessment of the potential role of third party logistics service providers.
