Programme Management of Manufacturing Strategy Implementation
Uniq Prepared Foods is a leading manufacturer of chilled foods, prepared meals, desserts and general dairy products. The acquistion of a new plant offered the opportunity to restructure the business with a sense of manufacturing excellence based on product specialisms. The new site acquisition provided a catalyst of change against a background of a Supply Chain and manufacturing base that had evolved over many years.
Uniq Prepared Foods searched the market to find resource partners who could fulfil the change progamme management role and at the same time offer independent technical advice on the change.
Once selected Click-On Logistics appointed a programme manager based in Minsterley, Shropshire who managed a number of work streams of activity including building developments onsite and a number of production line changes.
Furthermore the programme extended to 5 remote sites outside of Minsterley where the infrastructure rationalisation would result in the relocation of various product technologies and ultimately the closure of non-strategic sites. The programme duration was 20 months.
The programme manager administered monthly steering group addresses where Board managers were appraised of progress and where Click-On Logistics also undertook an advisory role.
